Massana J. Mwishawa, the Deputy Commissioner for Conservation responsible for Business Development at TANAPA, received the ISO 9001:2015 certificate on behalf of Commissioner Mussa Nassoro Kuji during a ceremony held on January 24, 2025, at the Tanzania National Parks Authority (TANAPA) headquarters in Arusha.
The certificate was presented by Dr. Ashura Katunzi, the Director General of the Tanzania Bureau of Standards (TBS), in recognition of TANAPA’s commitment to delivering services that meet international standards and enhancing the overall visitor experience for tourists and stakeholders at the national parks.
The national parks awarded the certification include the TANAPA Headquarters, Northern Zone Office, and the Kilimanjaro, Arusha, Mkomazi, Manyara, and Tarangire National Parks.
The focus on providing exceptional services to visitors has played a key role in the growth of tourism and revenue over the past three years.
This success is also a result of the ongoing efforts of the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania, under the leadership of President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, to improve tourism infrastructure and promote the sector, particularly through the film “Tanzania The Royal Tour,” which has significantly boosted the country's tourism industry.
