The Dar es Salaam Boxing Association (DABA) has announced plans to conduct a comprehensive coaching and refereeing course for boxing enthusiasts.

The training will take place from March 10 to 31 this year in Dar es Salaam.

DABA Chairperson Akalory Godfrey revealed that the course targets former players and untrained coaches who are eager to upgrade their skills and knowledge.

“Our goal is to build a pool of highly skilled professionals capable of training players using modern techniques,” said Godfrey.

He emphasized the importance of equipping clubs with certified trainers to raise the standard of boxing in the region.

Godfrey also urged stakeholders to seize this opportunity and participate in large numbers, highlighting that the course will benefit both the region and the nation as a whole.

The initiative reflects DABA’s commitment to nurturing talent and promoting professionalism in boxing.
