15 Judo referees to undergo training seminar

By Flora Mkoloma

Fifteen judo referees are set to enhance their skills during a two-day training seminar scheduled to take place tomorrow and the day after at the Don Bosco Hall in Upanga, Dar es Salaam.

The seminar, organized by the Tanzania Judo Association (JATA), will be facilitated by the association's Technical Director.

Speaking to The Respondent Online, JATA Secretary-General Innocent Mallya said the seminar aims to familiarize referees with the latest rule changes introduced earlier this year.

He further noted that the training is also designed to strengthen the referees’ capacity to effectively manage matches and uphold fairness in the sport.

“We are kicking off the year with this referees' seminar as part of preparations for the various competitions lined up for 2025,” said Mallya.
