Dar es Salaam: Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa, along with his wife Mary Majaliwa (pictured) visited the National Referral Hospital, Muhimbili (MNH) today, where they interacted with patients receiving treatment. During the visit, Majaliwa took the time to visit several wards, including the emergency and trauma department, where he spoke to patients, offering condolences and wishing them well in their recovery.
"On behalf of the government, I extend my heartfelt sympathy to all the patients. We wish you a speedy recovery and assure you that the government is doing everything possible to ensure that you receive the best medical care," Majaliwa said during his visit.
The Prime Minister also took the opportunity to recognize the efforts of the MNH management and healthcare workers who have been tirelessly serving the public. He applauded their dedication and hard work in ensuring that the hospital remains a top healthcare facility in the country.
"I commend the management of Muhimbili Hospital and all the healthcare providers here for their excellent service to the people. Your commitment to serving the Tanzanian public is commendable, and we are proud of the work you are doing," said Majaliwa.
In response to the Prime Minister’s praise, the Executive Director of MNH, Prof. Mohamed Janabi, assured Majaliwa that the hospital’s staff would continue to work hard to meet the healthcare needs of the population. He emphasized that the hospital is committed to offering quality medical services that are aligned with the expectations of the people.
"We are grateful for the Prime Minister's visit and his kind words of encouragement. As the management team of this hospital, we will continue to work hard, improve our services, and ensure that we provide the best possible healthcare to all the citizens who come to us for treatment," Prof. Janabi stated.
During the visit, Majaliwa and his wife were shown the various departments and services at the hospital, highlighting the continuous efforts to improve healthcare services in Tanzania. The government remains committed to supporting public health infrastructure to ensure that citizens receive quality healthcare in both urban and rural areas.
This visit comes as part of the government’s ongoing efforts to enhance public healthcare and ensure that hospitals like Muhimbili continue to provide top-tier services to all Tanzanians.
