JKT Queens top the table in women’s Premier League

JKT Queens have surged to the top of the Women’s Premier League table with an impressive 17 points, following their commanding 2-0 victory over Yanga Princess yesterday at the KMC Complex in Dar es Salaam.

The league leaders set the tone in the 29th minute when Donisia Minja broke the deadlock with a precise finish, putting JKT Queens ahead. The goal stood firm until the halftime whistle, with the team holding a slim 1-0 lead.

The second half saw relentless pressure from JKT Queens, and their persistence paid off in the 85th minute when Fatuma Makusanyai doubled the lead, sealing their dominance in the match. Despite Yanga Princess's efforts to mount a comeback, JKT Queens maintained their lead until the final whistle.

Simba Queens trail closely in second place with 16 points from six games, while Yanga Princess dropped to third with nine points after seven matches.
