The Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX 2024), held from August 31 to September 8, has proven to be a significant success, drawing numerous investors interested in Tanzania’s hunting tourism sector.

One of the exhibition's key highlights was a series of productive discussions between Mabula Misungwi Nyanda, Commissioner of Conservation at the Tanzania WildlifeManagement Authority (TAWA), and potential investors.

“The exhibition has been a tremendous platform for us to connect with investors who are eager to explore opportunities in Tanzania’s hunting tourism and conservation areas,” Nyanda commented.

Guiding these discussions was Tanzania’s Acting Ambassador to the UAE, Mr. Hangi L. Mgaka, saying Tanzanian participation in ADIHEX is vital for showcasing country’s unique investment opportunities in wildlife conservation and tourism.

“This year’s exhibition has been particularly successful in attracting serious interest from key players in the industry,” he said.

Mr. Hangi Mgaka praised TAWA for its continued involvement in the exhibition, which marks its third consecutive year since its debut in 2022.

“ADIHEX brings together over 170,000 participants each year, and it’s an invaluable opportunity for networking and investment,” he added.

To further penetrate major Middle Eastern markets, the Acting Ambassador encouraged TAWA to keep participating in various forums and exhibitions across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain. He also urged Tanzanian hunting tourism companies to join these events.

“Participation in such exhibitions can help attract international visitors, ultimately boosting revenue for our government,” Mgaka said.

TAWA’s presence at ADIHEX aimed to spotlight investment opportunities in its managed areas, including hunting tourism, photographic tourism, and Special Wildlife Investment Concession Areas (SWICA).
