Dar es Salaam, Sunday – President Samia Suluhu Hassan delivered a heartfelt message of support to Simba SC during the climax of Simba Day celebrations at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.
In a surprise moment, the President reached out via a live phone call to wish the team well for the upcoming season.
In her message, President Suluhu Hassan expressed her enthusiasm and encouragement for Simba's future endeavors. "I wish you all the best in the upcoming season. Forget what transpired last season and hope for better things ahead," she stated.
Acknowledging her recent busy schedule, the President mentioned her return from an official tour which prevented her from attending the event in person. Despite her absence, she conveyed her strong support and connection with the team. "I know you have made excellent signings this season, bringing in top talent. I wish you great success," she added.
The President’s message was relayed through a phone call facilitated by Gerson Msigwa, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry for Culture, Arts, and Sports, adding a notable touch to the festivities. The call was met with enthusiasm from fans and players alike, underscoring the significant support the club enjoys from the nation's leadership.
