President Samia Suluhu Hassan is set to officially open the CEO Forum 2024, a crucial three-day conference for Chairpersons and Chief Executives of Government Institutions, starting August 27 through August 30, 2024. The event will be held at the International Conference Centre in Arusha.

Organized by the Office of the Registrar of Public Assets, the forum aims to gather top leaders to discuss advancements in the management, operation, and performance of public institutions. This year's conference will also focus on sharing best practices among participants.

In a statement shared via social media, Arusha Regional Commissioner Paul Makonda revealed that the forum will be officially inaugurated on August 28, 2024, with the closing ceremony scheduled for August 30.

Makonda encouraged the residents of Arusha to come out in large numbers to welcome President Hassan and to seize the opportunity for various business and investment prospects.

This forum marks the second iteration of the annual event, which was first held in August 2023. The theme for this year's gathering is "Public and Statutory Corporations Business Strategies Beyond Tanzania."

The theme emphasizes the importance of expanding business opportunities beyond national borders and aligns with President Hassan's directive from last year’s forum.

During the previous session, President Hassan urged public and statutory organizations to explore opportunities for international business ventures and service delivery outside Tanzania.

The Office of the Registrar of Public Assets oversees 304 public institutions, including companies where the government holds less than 51% of the shares. These entities play a critical role in various sectors, including finance, education, healthcare, social welfare, industry, commerce, and agriculture.

These institutions contribute significantly to national economic growth, revenue generation for the government, project implementation, job creation, and the accessibility and quality of goods and services. Their efforts are vital in enhancing the overall socio-economic landscape of Tanzania.
