Attorney Maria Pengo (36) has suddenly passed away on Thursday, last night in Dodoma at her presence on the annual General Meeting for Tanganyika Law Society (TLS) that followed with their Presidential general election on Friday, 2nd of August.
An obituary notice, that has been circulated to all attorneys in the country stated that the body of the Late attorney Maria Pego was transported to her home residence in Dar es Salaam.
Oh her remarks, Renetha Mzanje, the Public Relations and Communications Officer of the Dodoma Referral Hospital, confirmed the reception of the body at 1:00 AM last night.
On Friday, August 2, 2024, it was announced at the meeting that the society has taken care of all arrangements, including the handling of the funeral, that includes the transportation costs of the body, and urged attorneys to kindly contribute their condolences on time.
The committee announced for the proper ways to send their condolences respectively via Banking numbers or mobile phones through proper channels
Meanwhile, the meeting activities have been temporarily halted to allow attorneys to bid farewell to their colleague.
TLS member attorneys have been in Dodoma since the mid week for the annual general meeting, held at the Jakaya Kikwete International Convention Centre (JKCC), which also includes the election of the society's leaders in various positions, including the presidential position for the TLS
