Mbinga. A new Sh560.553 million worth secondary school is set to be constructed at Bethrehemu ward located in Mbinga Town Council (MTC), Ruvuma Region, it was revealed on Wednesday (July 10).
The new secondary school meant to accommodate the Council’s increased school enrolment will be built with funds from the Tanzania Secondary Education Quality Improvement Project (SEQUIP).
Making the revelation on a new move, Mbinga Town acting director Dr. Kung’e Nyamuryekung’e poured praises on the government under Honourable President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan for taking the funds to his Council.
The project, he expounded, will involve the construction of eight classrooms, three laboratories, one library as well as Information and Communication Technology (ICT) building.
Further, he went on to say, the project will involve the construction of the administration building, 11 toilet holes, water tank and incinerator.
“Preparations for the construction of the new school are in the pipeline,” underscored Dr. Nyamuryekung’e.
Adding: “In the course of the implementation of the project, we will ensure there is value for money.
