Zanzibar's Minister of State in the President's Office for Labour, Economy and Investment, Khadija Salum Ali, has lauded the Tanzania Institute of Accountancy (TIA) for helping students make informed higher education and career choices through its participation in the 7th Higher Education Week Exhibition in Pemba.
Speaking after visiting the TIA exhibition stand at Gombani Grounds, the minister was briefed on the institute's academic programmes, professional training and student support services aimed at preparing graduates for the labour market.
She said TIA's commitment to providing career guidance enables students to choose academic programmes that match their interests and the country's workforce needs, strengthening prospects for both employment and entrepreneurship.
"The guidance offered by institutions such as TIA plays an important role in helping young people make informed decisions about their future while building the skills required to drive national development," she said.
The annual exhibition brings together higher learning institutions from across the country to showcase academic programmes and provide information on admission opportunities, scholarships and career pathways for prospective students.
TIA has invited students, parents and education stakeholders attending the exhibition to visit its stand to obtain information on its courses, admission requirements and the professional opportunities available through the institution.
