More than 90 Tanzanians have won cash prizes and electronic appliances through Mixx's ongoing "Ikiingia tu Goli" campaign, with the digital financial services provider set to award a TZS50 million grand prize in its final draw next week.

Speaking during the presentation of prizes to winners of the campaign's ninth draw, Mixx Head of Corporate and Partnerships, Justine Lawena, said the initiative, run in partnership with Hisense, aims to encourage wider adoption of digital financial services by rewarding customers who actively use the Mixx Super App.

In the latest draw, 10 customers were rewarded, with seven receiving TZS1 million each in cash and three others taking home Hisense electronic appliances. Lawena said the campaign has now rewarded more than 90 customers since its launch.

"The FIFA World Cup may be over, but the grand finale of our campaign is still ahead. Next week, one lucky Tanzanian will walk away with the TZS50 million grand prize. Anyone who continues using Mixx services still has a chance to win," he said.

Lawena also urged customers to answer calls from 100, the official number used to notify winners.

"We encourage customers to answer calls from number 100. Missing the call could mean missing the opportunity to confirm your prize. There is still time to participate and win by continuing to transact through the Mixx Super App," he said.

One of the TZS1 million winners, David Kisusi, said the campaign had strengthened his confidence in the platform, highlighting its convenience and reliability.

"I use Mixx for my daily transactions because it allows me to pay utility bills and access other services easily from my phone. What gives me even greater confidence is the security of the platform. Even when a transaction is made by mistake, there is prompt support to stop or reverse it," Kisusi said.

The "Ikiingia tu Goli" campaign, a joint initiative between Mixx and Hisense, seeks to promote the use of digital financial services across Tanzania.

The campaign will conclude next week with the announcement of the winner of the TZS50 million grand prize.
