Mineral indicative prices for July 13, 2026


Gold prices in Tanzania remained strong on July 13, 2026, with the official buying centre price reaching TZS 310,094.66 per gram, reflecting sustained gains in the international precious metals market.

According to the latest indicative mineral prices released by the Mining Commission, the global gold price stood at USD 4,136.40 per troy ounce, equivalent to TZS 352,380.29 per gram. The indicative domestic mineral market price was set at TZS 317,142.26 per gram.

The published prices serve as a reference for miners, mineral traders and licensed buying centres, helping promote transparency and fair pricing across Tanzania's mining sector.

Silver also maintained firm prices, with the global market value recorded at USD 60.01 per troy ounce, equivalent to TZS 5,112.26 per gram

The domestic mineral market price was TZS 4,601.03 per gram, while licensed buying centres were advised to purchase silver at TZS 4,498.79 per gram.

Copper prices remained stable, with the international market price standing at USD 6.23 per pound, translating to TZS 36.39 per gram

The indicative mineral market price was TZS 32.75 per gram, while the buying centre price was set at TZS 32.03 per gram.

The Mining Commission updates indicative mineral prices regularly to provide guidance for market participants and ensure that transactions are aligned with prevailing international market conditions.

The latest figures highlight the continued resilience of global precious metal prices, particularly gold, which remains a key export commodity and an important source of income for Tanzania's mining industry and thousands of artisanal and small-scale miners.
