TPDC’s Fabian Nyamhanga and Bandari’s Rosemary Lazier have credited hard work, discipline, and strong team coordination as the key factors behind their recent success after being named the Men’s and Women’s Players of the Week respectively.
The two players received the weekly honours following standout performances in their respective matches, with both expressing pride and renewed motivation to continue improving.
Nyamhanga said he was delighted to win the award, noting that it reflects the effort he puts into training and matches. He explained that consistency, discipline, and a strong desire to improve his performance have been central to his development as a player.
He added that the recognition has not only boosted his personal confidence but has also lifted the morale of his teammates. According to him, teamwork and unity remain crucial elements for any player or team aiming for success.
Nyamhanga further stated that his focus is now on helping his team compete strongly for the championship. He also expressed his ambition to continue performing at a high level and to win more individual awards throughout the season.
“Winning this award means a lot to me. It is a result of hard work and discipline in training. It motivates me to push even harder,” he said.
On her part, Rosemary Lazier said she received the award with great excitement, describing it as a significant achievement and an important source of motivation for her future performances.
She said the recognition was among her personal goals, adding that achieving it has strengthened her determination to work even harder and maintain consistency throughout the season.
Rosemary noted that individual success is closely linked to teamwork, saying she remains committed to contributing to her team’s success in both the DAREVA and TVNL leagues.
She added that her focus is to continue improving her performances while helping Bandari secure positive results in upcoming fixtures.
“This award gives me more energy to keep pushing. It shows that my effort is being seen, and it encourages me to work even harder,” she said.
