Worship music lovers in Dar es Salaam and other parts of Tanzania are set to enjoy a special musical experience on June 28, 2026, when the Flying Family Choir (FFC) presents a grand concert titled FFC Corporate Encore 2026.
The concert will be held at the Cardinal Rugambwa Hall located within St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Oysterbay.
It is scheduled to begin at 11:00 in the evening and is expected to bring together audiences from different areas who share a passion for sacred music, with the aim of enjoying high-quality choral performances while strengthening friendship and unity through music.
Speaking about the preparations for the event, the Chairperson of Flying Family Choir, Innocent Fundisha, said the choir, which brings together talented singers from different Christian denominations, is fully prepared to deliver a memorable experience for its audience.
Fundisha said the concert will feature masterpieces from some of the world’s most celebrated classical composers, giving attendees a rare opportunity to enjoy timeless choral works.
He mentioned composers such as George Handel, Wolfgang Mozart, Johann Bach, Joseph Haydn, Felix Mendelssohn, and Antonio Vivaldi, among others whose works have shaped the history of classical and sacred music.
He added that in addition to international classical compositions, the event will also showcase works by renowned Tanzanian choral composers who have played a significant role in shaping the country’s church music tradition.
These include Mathias Msafiri, David Wasonga, John Mgandu, and Egidius Mushumbusi.
Fundisha said the concert is designed not only as a musical performance but also as a social gathering that promotes unity, friendship, and interaction among participants from different backgrounds.
“We invite all stakeholders and lovers of sacred music to attend in large numbers. Beyond enjoying beautiful music, they will have an opportunity to meet and connect with different people in an atmosphere of love and togetherness,” he said.
He further noted that the entry fee for the concert is 100,000 shillings per person. Tickets are available at St. Peter’s Catholic Church Oysterbay, the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Tanzania (ELCT) Msasani, Mwenge Catholic Church, and the Anglican Church of Ilala.
For those unable to access physical ticket outlets, Fundisha said payments can also be made through electronic platforms, including M-Pesa Lipa Number 5226676 or the NMB bank account number 22510097145. He also said inquiries can be made through 0764 088 006 for further information.
Fundisha emphasized that the event will go beyond music performances, noting that food and beverages will be sufficiently available for all attendees, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable experience throughout the evening.
“We encourage people not to miss this special event. We have prepared excellent music, a welcoming environment for social interaction, and enough food and drinks for everyone. It will be a unique evening for all who attend,” he said.
The FFC Corporate Encore 2026 concert is expected to strengthen the growing appreciation of sacred choral music in Tanzania while offering a platform for both international and local compositions to be celebrated in one stage.
