Dominant wins highlight Dar es Salaam Volleyball League action

A series of commanding victories marked the latest round of the Dar es Salaam Regional Volleyball League as teams continued their battle for crucial points in matches played on June 6, 2026, at Kampala Grounds in Gongolamboto.

In the men's division, Bandari showcased their quality and determination with a convincing 3-1 victory over TPDC, strengthening their position in the competition and underlining their title ambitions.

Nyika also delivered a dominant performance, sweeping aside Kigamboni 3-0, while KIUT cruised to a comfortable straight-sets victory over Best Six by the same scoreline. 

High Voltage maintained their impressive form after recording a commanding 3-0 win against Tanzania Air Force.

The women's category produced equally impressive performances, with Tanzania Prisons extending their strong run in the league through a comprehensive 3-0 victory over Nyika. 

The win highlighted the team's growing confidence and tactical discipline as the competition gathers momentum.

KIUT women continued their fine form by defeating JKT 3-0, while Chui secured a similar straight-sets victory against Jeshi Stars.

The most captivating encounter of the day came when Tai edged UDSM 3-2 in a fiercely contested five-set thriller. 

Both sides displayed determination and resilience, exchanging momentum throughout the match before Tai eventually emerged victorious in a contest that kept spectators on the edge of their seats.

With teams intensifying their push for favourable positions in the standings, the Dar es Salaam Regional Volleyball League continues to deliver exciting action and showcase the growing standard of volleyball in the region.

The competition resumes today at Kampala Grounds, where several fixtures are expected to further shape the race for league honours.
