The Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) has signed a two-year sponsorship agreement with Watercom Tanzania aimed at improving welfare and creating a better environment for national football teams.
The agreement was signed during an event held at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam, where TFF President Wallace Karia and Watercom Marketing Manager Mohamed Salim formalized the partnership.
Under the deal, Watercom will become the official beverages sponsor for all national team programmes by supplying drinking water and energy juices during training camps, practice sessions and international matches.
The sponsorship will benefit several national teams, including Serengeti Boys, Twiga Stars and Taifa Stars, alongside other teams at different levels.
Speaking after the signing ceremony, Wallace Karia described the sponsorship as an important step towards improving player welfare and strengthening preparations for competitions.
He also stressed the importance of cooperation between the private sector and the sports industry in supporting the growth of football in the country.
On his part, Mohamed Salim said Watercom is committed to supporting efforts to nurture and develop sports talent in Tanzania.
He added that the sponsorship reflects the company’s patriotism and dedication to promoting sports development across the country.
