The discussions were held between the Acting Director of the Europe and America Division at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Ms. Ellen Maduhu, and the Acting U.S. Ambassador to Tanzania, Mr. Andrew Lentz.

The two officials exchanged views on ways to further enhance bilateral relations and ensure that cooperation continues to deliver practical benefits to citizens of both countries.

The talks focused on several priority areas, including health, consular services, trade and investment, security cooperation, energy development, and the implementation of strategic national development programmes.

On his part, Mr. Lentz reiterated the United States’ interest in maintaining a strong and productive partnership with Tanzania, stressing the importance of cooperation in addressing shared global and regional challenges.

He emphasized that collaboration in areas such as health systems strengthening, energy access, and private sector development remains a priority for the U.S. government.

The discussions were also attended by Tanzania’s Ambassador to the United States, Dr. Elsie S. Kanza, who contributed to the dialogue aimed at further strengthening diplomatic coordination between Dar es Salaam and Washington.

Her participation underscored the importance of close engagement between diplomatic missions in advancing national interests and ensuring effective communication between the two governments.
