The National Bank of Commerce (NBC) has launched a new customer promotion dubbed “Win a Trip to Mauritius,” aimed at encouraging the use of digital payment systems while rewarding customers using NBC Visa cards.
The campaign, which will run for three months, was officially launched at NBC headquarters in Dar es Salaam and brought together senior bank officials, staff, media representatives, and key stakeholders from the financial sector.
Speaking during the launch, NBC Head of Marketing, David Raymond, said the initiative is part of the bank’s ongoing efforts to promote a cashless economy and increase the use of safe and convenient digital financial services.
He said the campaign is designed to motivate customers to use NBC Visa cards for everyday transactions both locally and internationally.
“We are encouraging our customers to embrace digital payments because they are secure, fast, and convenient. The world is moving towards digital financial systems, and we want our customers to benefit from that transformation,” said Raymond.
Under the campaign, customers who make at least five transactions using their NBC Visa card will automatically enter a monthly draw.
Three winners will be selected during the campaign period, each winning a fully paid trip to Mauritius, including an opportunity to travel with a companion of their choice. The trip is expected to take place in August this year.
In addition to the grand prize, NBC Visa card users will benefit from various global advantages, including secure transactions, ease of international payments, and access to exclusive discounts within the Visa network.
The bank noted that customers can enjoy up to 40 percent discounts at CIP lounges, up to 20 percent discounts on hotels, shopping, and tourist attractions in Paris, up to 15 percent in London, and up to 25 percent in Thailand.
Holders of the Platinum Business card will also receive up to 50 percent discounts on travel and hotel services, alongside insurance and medical cover when travelling abroad.
NBC said the campaign aligns with its wider digital transformation agenda aimed at expanding financial inclusion and promoting innovative banking solutions that improve customer experience.
The bank reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Tanzania’s transition towards modern, technology-driven banking services that are safe, efficient, and accessible to more people.
