The Tanzania Investment and Special Economic Zones Authority Tanzania Investment and Special Economic Zones Authority (TISEZA) has received a delegation of senior experts from the Dangote Group who arrived in the country to explore investment opportunities and assess the business environment, with special focus on the Bagamoyo Special Economic Zone.

The visit is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation between Tanzania and major international investors as the country continues to position itself as a competitive investment destination in Africa.

The delegation’s mission aimed at understanding available opportunities, investment procedures, and incentives offered within Tanzania’s industrial and trade development framework.

During the visit, the team was briefed on Tanzania’s investor-friendly environment and was taken through key investment sites within the Bagamoyo Economic Zone, including designated industrial clusters and the Free Trade Zone areas designed to support large-scale manufacturing and export-oriented activities.

They were also introduced to both fiscal and non-fiscal incentives offered to investors, which are intended to reduce operational costs and improve ease of doing business.

Officials from TISEZA explained that the Bagamoyo Special Economic Zone is one of the country’s strategic flagship projects designed to attract high-impact investments, stimulate industrial growth, and create employment opportunities for Tanzanians.

The zone is also expected to serve as a major logistics and manufacturing hub linking Tanzania to regional and international markets.

The delegation from Dangote Group expressed interest in the potential opportunities available, noting Tanzania’s stable macroeconomic environment, strategic geographic position, and growing industrial base as key factors that make the country attractive for long-term investment.

They also acknowledged the government’s commitment to improving infrastructure and simplifying investment procedures.

TISEZA emphasized that Tanzania continues to welcome investors from across the world, particularly those interested in large-scale industrial projects that can contribute to value addition, technology transfer, and job creation.

The authority further noted that partnerships with global companies such as Dangote Group are expected to accelerate the country’s industrialization agenda.

The visit is part of a broader series of engagements aimed at promoting Tanzania as a preferred investment destination through strengthened public-private partnerships and continuous improvement of the investment climate.
