Yanga SC will be looking to extend their strong run in the NBC Tanzania Mainland Premier League when they face Mbeya City FC tomorrow at the KMC Complex in Dar es Salaam, with kickoff set for 12:30 pm.

The fixture brings together two sides that shared the spoils in their first-round meeting, a result that has added extra intensity and expectations ahead of the return leg.

Speaking during a pre-match briefing on April 15, 2026, both camps expressed confidence and readiness ahead of the encounter, which carries important implications for the league standings.

Yanga head coach Pedro Gonçalves said his team is fully prepared for the challenge and is focused on securing all three points to strengthen their position in the title race.

He acknowledged that Mbeya City will not be an easy opponent, stressing that his players have worked hard in training and understand the demands of the match.

Yanga player Patrick Israel Mwenda said the squad is determined to maintain their momentum in the title race, adding that the players are fully focused on delivering a winning performance.

He noted that the team remembers dropping points in the first-round encounter and is motivated to correct that result by securing victory this time.

On the Mbeya City FC side, head coach Mecky Mexime said his team is in good shape and ready for a tough test against the league leaders.

He said facing a top side like Yanga SC requires discipline, focus, and caution, but insisted that his players are mentally prepared for the challenge.

Mexime added that recent tough fixtures, including matches against strong opponents, have helped sharpen his squad ahead of this important clash.

Mbeya City player Soud Dondola said the team has prepared well and will approach the match with determination and discipline.

He added that while tactical details remain within the technical bench, the players are committed to working hard and fighting for a positive result.

With both teams carrying different ambitions—Yanga SC aiming to maintain their position at the top and Mbeya City FC seeking valuable away points—the match is expected to be highly competitive and tightly contested.
