Simba and Coastal Union are set to clash today, April 2, at Major General Isamuhyo Stadium in Dar es Salaam in what promises to be a competitive encounter.

Simba’s assistant coach, Suleiman Matola, described the match as tough, citing the intense rivalry between the two sides.

He recalled that their previous meeting in last season’s first round ended in a draw, but said Simba is better prepared this time after analyzing Coastal Union’s strengths and weaknesses to secure a win.

Speaking on behalf of the team, midfielder Hussein Semfuko said the squad is in high spirits and has trained thoroughly for the game.

“We are confident, but we will still respect Coastal Union, who are among the league’s top teams,” he added.

Coastal Union head coach Mohamed Muya acknowledged Simba’s quality but stressed that his team is determined to fight for the crucial three points.

“If our players follow instructions, I am confident we can make our fans proud,” he said.

Player Maabad Maabad emphasized that the team is mentally and physically ready. “We know today’s match will be tough, but we are prepared to perform. We will avoid mistakes in front of goal, as our coaches have worked hard on this,” he said.

Maabad also assured fans that Coastal Union will do everything possible to achieve a positive result.
