Arusha Regional Commissioner and patron of TRA United, Amos Gabriel Makalla, has honoured rising star Ramadhan Salum Chobwedo with a special gift in recognition of his outstanding performances in the Tanzania Mainland Premier League.

Makalla met the player on April 21, 2026, where he presented him with high-quality football boots and additional training equipment, describing the gesture as a token of appreciation and motivation for his continued excellence on the pitch.

He said Chobwedo has consistently demonstrated maturity, discipline, and exceptional talent throughout the season, especially in high-profile matches against top sides including Young Africans S.C., Simba S.C., and Pamba Jiji FC.

Makalla, who has a background in football development and team mentorship, described Chobwedo as a rare talent and an important “asset” for Tanzanian football.

He urged the player to remain focused, disciplined, and to avoid distractions from social media criticism, stressing that consistency and hard work remain key to long-term success.

“I have been following your performances even when I am outside the country. You have done very well and you deserve encouragement. These boots are a small gift, but a big message to keep pushing forward,” Makalla said.

The Regional Commissioner also encouraged other young players in the team to take Chobwedo’s example as motivation, noting that talent combined with discipline can open bigger opportunities in professional football.

Chobwedo, on his part, expressed deep appreciation for the recognition and support, thanking Makalla for his continued leadership and encouragement to both him and the team.

He pledged to maintain hard work and contribute more goals and strong performances to help TRA United achieve its season objectives.

This season, Chobwedo has emerged as one of the most influential players for TRA United, earning multiple man-of-the-match awards, including standout performances against Tanzania Prisons and Singida Big Stars.

His rising form has reportedly attracted attention from several major clubs in the country ahead of the upcoming season, further underlining his growing reputation in Tanzanian football.
