Tanzania Olympic Committee (TOC) executive committee candidate and Chief Executive Officer of Singida BS, Jonathan Mushumbusi Kassano, has unveiled four key priorities he aims to advance if elected to the committee.
During his campaign, Kassano emphasized his commitment to expanding Tanzania’s international sports representation, increasing participation in both urban and rural areas, promoting sports in schools and communities, and developing Olympic disciplines that have yet to gain significant recognition in the country.
He stressed that collaboration with all sports stakeholders will be central to his approach, ensuring that policies and programs are effectively implemented to achieve tangible results.
“If elected, I will work closely with all sports stakeholders to advocate for sound sports policies and execute programs that boost participation across various disciplines. My goal is to ensure that all Olympic sports are supported from the district and regional levels up to the national stage, giving every athlete the opportunity to thrive,” Kassano said.
He also highlighted his intention to partner closely with the leadership of the Tanzania Olympic Committee to ensure sustainable growth of Olympic sports nationwide.
Kassano’s vision focuses on strengthening Tanzania’s presence in international competitions by broadening participation across Olympic sports and fostering a strong, community-based sports culture from the grassroots level.
