Yanga head coach Pedro Goncalves expressed his delight after his team secured a commanding 3-0 win over Pamba Jiji, praising both the players’ performance and the unwavering support of the fans.

Speaking after the match, Goncalves said the team continues to show significant improvement and stressed that players must maintain peak physical fitness to perform at their best.

“I sincerely thank our fans; they have stood by us everywhere, offering continuous support,” Goncalves said, acknowledging their presence despite the team’s draw in the previous match.

Pamba Jiji head coach Francis Baraza admitted that Yanga’s speedy midfielders unsettled his team, leading to the concession of goals.

Baraza added that he had to adjust his tactics and play more defensively to limit further damage. He also pointed out other challenges, including his players’ physical condition, frequent loss of possession, and repeated errors, which ultimately cost them the match at home.

“I still find it hard to comprehend how we lost, but that is football. I congratulate our opponents. This is our first home defeat, yet we have many matches ahead. We will review our performance, identify mistakes, and work on correcting them,” Baraza said.
