The Dar es Salaam Regional Volleyball League continued to gain momentum on Tuesday, with several teams registering commanding victories during matches played at the KIUT grounds in the city.
Most of the encounters were decided in straight sets, reflecting the growing competitiveness and intensity of the league as teams battle for crucial points in the standings.
In the men’s category, High Voltage extended its impressive form after defeating TPDC 3–0, a result that helped the side maintain its position at the top of the league table.
JKT also delivered a strong performance, overpowering Tanzania Prisons with a convincing 3–0 victory. In another match, Best Six secured a hard-fought 3–1 win against Kigamboni in one of the more competitive fixtures of the day.
Hosts KIUT, however, faced a difficult outing on their home court after suffering a straight-sets 3–0 defeat at the hands of Bandari.
In the women’s category, Bandari continued to showcase its dominance with a comfortable 3–0 victory over UDSM.
Tanzania Prisons also impressed with a solid performance, defeating Tai 3–0 in a match that featured moderate resistance from their opponents.
The league is expected to continue today at the KIUT venue, with teams eager to secure valuable points as the competition intensifies and the race for the top positions tightens.
