The Minister of State, Prime Minister’s Office – Regional Administration and Local Government (PMO-RALG), Prof. Riziki Shemdoe, has called on civil servants to work with dedication, love, and cooperation to strengthen service delivery to Tanzanians.
Prof. Shemdoe made the appeal yesterday, March 26, 2026, while officially opening the PMO-RALG Staff Council meeting in Dodoma.
He emphasized that the council provides a key platform for fostering unity among staff and promoting collaboration between management and employees in carrying out institutional duties.
“This council plays a vital role in promoting teamwork and mutual support to enhance efficiency in our daily work,” Prof. Shemdoe said.
He reminded staff that councils are established under the law to handle workplace issues, including conflict resolution, staff welfare, and improving the work environment.
He urged employees to uphold public service ethics, respect their duties, and safeguard citizens’ interests.
Prof. Shemdoe also encouraged members to carefully review the 2026/27 financial year plan and budget, ensuring institutional priorities are fully reflected, while stressing that proper oversight of budget implementation is key to achieving goals.
Dodoma Regional Commissioner, Hon. Rosemary Sinyamule, praised staff councils for bridging leadership and employees, commending members for their efforts to improve work performance.
Earlier, Council Chairman and PMO-RALG Permanent Secretary, Mr. Adolf Nduguru, highlighted that staff councils are legal bodies designed to boost productivity, accountability, and give employees a platform to discuss matters affecting their work and welfare.
Council member Mr. Elias Mabele expressed confidence that the council will contribute to improving PMO-RALG’s budget and institutional performance, ultimately delivering better services to citizens, particularly in Education, Health, Infrastructure, and Good Governance.
