The Tanzania Volleyball Federation (TVF) has strengthened the technical bench of its national teams by appointing two new coaches, including an Assistant Coach and a Midfielder Coach, as part of preparations for upcoming international competitions.
Tanzania is set to participate in various international tournaments this year, including continental competitions scheduled in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya, and Uganda.
According to a statement from the TVF’s Department of Information and Communications, the new appointments aim to enhance the technical capacity within the national teams to boost competitiveness at these events.
In the appointments, Athumani Sultan Said, popularly known as ‘Rupia,’ has been named Assistant Coach of the national team. Rupia currently serves as Head Coach of the Jeshi Stars team.
Additionally, Abraham Magendo has been appointed as Midfielder Coach, a role he currently holds with the Nyika team.
This move reflects TVF’s strategic plan to ensure that the national teams receive thorough preparation and maintain high levels of competitiveness on international platforms.
