The highly anticipated boxing event, “Punch kwa Heshima,” is set to roar into action tomorrow in Dar es Salaam, featuring top fighters led by Pius Mpenda and Joseph Maigiswa ready to compete for victory.
The official weigh-in and medical check for the participating boxers took place today, March 20, 2026, at Kinesi Stadium in Dar es Salaam. The exercise included both male and female fighters scheduled to take part in the bouts.
In the women’s category, Halima Vunjabei will face Sara Alex, while in the men’s division, Kassim Mgunda will take on Lutengano John.
Other notable matchups include Ibrahim Tiger versus Hamad Banza and Karim Mandonga “Mtu Kazi” against Max Black Cobra.
Speaking at the weigh-in, Sara Alex stated that she is fully prepared to secure the UBO belt and bring it back from Dar es Salaam to her home region of Arusha. She emphasized her determination to win and warned her opponent to prepare well.
“I came from Arusha to Dar for the belt. I want to tell my fans that if I don’t win it, I will not return home,” Sara said, promising a performance that surpasses previous competitors.
Meanwhile, Max Black Cobra expressed confidence in his upcoming match, stating he is ready to fight and secure victory on behalf of all security personnel in the country.
“The ring is where decisions are made. I am prepared to fight and ensure a win for the honor of all security officers,” Max said.
Event coordinator Bakari Hatibu from Peaktime Company confirmed that all preparations are complete and everything is ready for the major event.
“All arrangements are in place, and everything is ready. We urge fans to come in large numbers to witness these bouts. Ticket prices are affordable for everyone,” he said.
Tickets are priced at TZS 5,000 for general admission, TZS 10,000 for VIP B, and TZS 20,000 for VIP A.
