Puma Energy Tanzania has hosted a special Iftar dinner bringing together its clients and partners in Dar es Salaam as part of efforts to strengthen business relationships during the holy month of Ramadan.

The gathering brought together customers, stakeholders and company leaders who shared a meal after breaking their fast, creating an opportunity for dialogue and strengthening partnerships beyond daily business engagements.

Managing Director of Puma Energy Tanzania, Ms Fatma M. Abdallah, said the event was organised to thank clients for their continued partnership and trust in the company’s operations across the country.

She said the Iftar dinner also reflected the values of unity, compassion and cooperation that are emphasised during Ramadan.

“This gathering is our way of recognising the importance of our stakeholders and community in our journey,” she said, noting that the support of clients enables the company to expand access to reliable energy services.

Ms Abdallah added that bringing partners together outside a formal business environment helps strengthen relationships and encourage open dialogue.

Guests at the event also reflected on the spiritual importance of the holy month. Sheikh Mkowe Abdallah said Iftar gatherings help strengthen social bonds and remind people of the importance of mutual respect and responsibility within the community.

He said Ramadan encourages individuals and organisations to act with integrity, generosity and compassion.

While the event focused on appreciation and unity, the company also highlighted its ongoing investment in alternative energy solutions in Tanzania.

Recently, Puma Energy Tanzania launched a large compressed natural gas (CNG) mother station in Dar es Salaam, which supplies smaller stations across the country and supports the growing use of natural gas as an alternative fuel for vehicles, buses and trucks.

The company says the expanding CNG network is expected to increase access to cleaner and more affordable fuel while supporting efforts to promote environmentally friendly transport solutions.

The project has also contributed to economic activity by creating more than 300 jobs during its construction phase, including opportunities for engineers, technicians and local contractors.

Head of Legal and Corporate Affairs at Puma Energy Tanzania, Mr Emmanuel G. Bakilana, said the Iftar gathering was also an opportunity to reflect on the company’s commitment to ethical business practices and long-term partnerships.

“Events like this allow us to thank those who support our operations and to reaffirm our commitment to responsible business and collaboration,” he said.

Puma Energy operates in more than 35 countries worldwide, mainly in Central America and Sub-Saharan Africa, providing energy solutions including fuels, aviation services, lubricants, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and bitumen.
