Meanwhile, Dodoma Jiji FC also booked their place in the Round of 16th after defeating African Sports Club 2–0 at the Jamhuri Stadium.

The Round of 32 matches continue on March 7, with several teams battling for the remaining spots in the last 16th of the competition.

In one of the anticipated fixtures, Simba SC will host B19 FC at the Major General Isamuhyo Stadium in Dar es Salaam.

In Mwanza, Pamba Jiji FC will face Transit Camp FC at the CCM Kirumba Stadium.

Elsewhere, Mashujaa FC will play against KenGold FC at the Lake Tanganyika Stadium, while Geita Gold FC will take on Nyika FC at the Nyankumbu Stadium.

Another fixture will see Namungo FC host Kagera Sugar FC at the Majaliwa Stadium.

Ahead of their match, Simba midfielder Selemani Mwalimu said the team is well prepared and focused on securing a positive result.

He noted that although B19 plays in a lower division, Simba will approach the match with seriousness and respect.

“We know B19 is a lower division team, but we will enter the match with respect and we will not underestimate them. Football is a game of mistakes and if you make even a small error, you can be punished,” he said.
