Kilimanjaro Premium Lager is set to launch its new “Vyakwetu Vizuri” campaign during the Kilimanjaro Marathon, turning the annual race into a celebration of Tanzanian pride, culture, and unity.
The campaign highlights the values of heritage, wisdom, courage, and solidarity, inspiring Tanzanians to embrace togetherness and resilience.
For more than two decades, Kilimanjaro Premium Lager has been the main sponsor of the 42-kilometre marathon, elevating it from a sporting event to a major social and cultural gathering that brings together athletes, communities, and visitors from across Tanzania and beyond.
Speaking on March 18, 2026, Tanzania Breweries Limited Marketing Manager Khensani Mkhombo said the campaign honours the wisdom and strength found in Tanzanian culture.
“The Kilimanjaro Marathon is more than a race; it is a platform that unites all Tanzanians. This campaign celebrates that unity and shared spirit,” he said.
The campaign will feature national athlete Alphonce Simbu, who will inspire runners with a motivational anthem emphasizing Tanzanian unity and resilience.
Simbu said, “I have faced many challenges, but I never gave up. If you have determination, you will always find a way. This is the true strength of a Tanzanian – standing together, pushing forward, and showing the world what we can achieve.”
Beyond the marathon, the Kili Dome festivities will span two days, featuring music, traditional cuisine, and cultural activities.
Performances will include artists such as Scotts Maphuma, Ali Kiba, Ciza, Joh Makini, Tllogi_M, Adekunle Gold, Mbosso, and Maphorisa D Voice.
Tickets are available at different rates: advance tickets at TSh 20,000, gate tickets at TSh 30,000, and VIP packages at TSh 3,000,000 for 10 people, available at Moshi Golf Club.
The “Vyakwetu Vizuri” campaign aims to remind Tanzanians that their greatest strength lies in unity, courage, and solidarity, turning the Kilimanjaro Marathon into a shared celebration of the nation’s achievements and rich cultural heritage.
