Minister of Finance, Ambassador Khamis Mussa Omar (MP), has urged employees of the Ministry of Finance to demonstrate integrity in their daily work, stressing that honesty is a requirement from God and not limited to religious seasons such as Ramadan.
Speaking at a special Iftar organized by the Office of the Chief Government Accountant, led by CPA Leonard Mkude, Ambassador Omar said strong work ethics are the foundation of accountability and public trust in government institutions.
“Every civil servant has a role to play in advancing the ministry’s objectives and, by extension, the nation’s development,” he said.
“True collaboration and ethical conduct are essential for sustainable growth and national prosperity.”he added
Deputy Minister of Finance, Mshamu Ali Munde, highlighted that the Iftar gathering reflected Tanzania’s unity, showing that people from different religious backgrounds can come together in harmony and solidarity.
The event was also attended by the Acting Permanent Secretary and Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, Mr. Elijah Mwandumbya, and the Chief Sheikh of Dodoma Region, Alhaj Mustapha Rajab Shaban.
