Permanent-General of the Ministry of Finance, Dr. Natu El-maamry Mwamba, has called on women working with the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) to leverage the recently launched Women and Tax Platform to educate women entrepreneurs about the importance of business registration, accurate reporting, and timely tax payments.

Speaking during International Women’s Day celebrations at Mlimani City Conference Hall in Dar es Salaam, Dr. Mwamba emphasized that the platform offers a unique opportunity for TRA women to guide their peers on compliance and financial responsibility, ultimately contributing to national development.

The event was attended by key TRA officials, including Commissioner General Mr. Yusuph Juma Mwenda, Deputy Commissioner General Mr. Mcha Hassan Mcha, and Acting Director of Human Resources and Administration Mr. Nahoda Pandu Nahoda.

Dr. Mwamba highlighted that informed entrepreneurs not only strengthen their businesses but also enhance revenue collection, which is vital for funding public services and development initiatives.

He encouraged TRA women to take active roles as mentors and educators, turning the platform into a bridge between the authority and the business community.
