Female staff at Muhimbili National Hospital (MNH) have been urged to dedicate themselves fully to improving healthcare services for citizens.
Dr. Delilah Kimambo, Chief Executive Officer of MNH, made the call during the hospital’s International Women’s Day celebrations, emphasizing that women are central to delivering efficient and high-quality medical care.
“Women have a vital role in the health sector. Your commitment, professionalism, and teamwork are key to enhancing services and achieving our national development goals,” Dr. Kimambo said.
International Women’s Day, celebrated every March 8, recognizes women’s contributions across all sectors and promotes gender equality. This year’s theme focuses on empowering women and girls to drive positive change, urging both institutions and society to ensure equal opportunities in employment, leadership, and development.
Dr. Kimambo said the dedication of female health workers not only strengthens patient care but also supports the country’s broader Vision 2050 objectives.
