The Managing Director of Absa Bank Tanzania, Mr. Obedi Laiser, has paid a courtesy visit to the Mbeya Regional Commissioner Office, where he met with the Beno Malisa, the Regional Commissioner for Mbeya Region, during an official working tour of the region.
Mr. Laiser and his delegation visited the commissioner’s office as part of the bank’s engagement with regional leadership and stakeholders.
Upon arrival, the delegation was received by Malisa, who welcomed the team and held discussions with the bank’s leadership.
The Absa delegation included several senior officials such as the Head of Customer Network and Sales for Retail Banking, Ms. Mwilongo Msungu, the Director of Retail Banking, Ms. Ndabu Swere, the Head of Strategy and Data, Mr. John Mosha, and the Head of Business Banking, Mr. Melvin Saprapasen. The bank’s Mbeya Branch Manager, Mr. Alto Hagamu, was also present during the visit.
During the meeting, the Regional Commissioner exchanged greetings with the Absa executives and held brief discussions with members of the delegation.
The visit also provided an opportunity for both sides to interact and strengthen cooperation between the regional administration and the banking sector.
At one point, Malisa shared a light moment with some of the bank’s directors while welcoming the delegation at his office.
The visit formed part of Absa’s official business trip to Mbeya aimed at engaging with local stakeholders and reviewing business opportunities in the region.
At the end of the meeting, the Regional Commissioner bid farewell to several members of the delegation, including Mr. John Mosha, Head of Strategy and Data, as well as Mbeya Branch Manager Mr. Alto Hagamu and Head of Business Banking Mr. Melvin Saprapasen.
The visit concluded with a group photo involving Malisa and Mr. Laiser alongside other senior officials from Absa Bank Tanzania, marking the end of the courtesy call during the bank’s working visit to Mbeya.
