The Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) is rolling out a new digital system, the Integrated Domestic Revenue Administration System (IDRAS), to make tax management simpler, faster, and more transparent for all Tanzanians.
The system is set to go live on February 9, 2025, and taxpayers are being urged to prepare their accounts ahead of time to ensure a smooth transition.
Ahead of the official launch, taxpayers are encouraged to log in to the pre-launch portal to reset their passwords, verify that all personal and business information migrated correctly, and confirm or update the roles of their representatives, including declarants, administrators, and audit firms.
Those needing to add new representatives can also do so during this period. TRA emphasizes that the credentials and user status set during this pre-launch phase will be transferred to the live system, making it important for all users to complete these steps accurately.
For assistance, taxpayers can contact TRA through toll-free numbers, WhatsApp, or email. With IDRAS, TRA aims to simplify tax compliance, reduce errors, and allow citizens to manage their tax obligations efficiently from a single, secure online platform.
