Tanzania Breweries Limited (TBL) and the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) have agreed to strengthen cooperation on tax matters, aiming to facilitate business operations and promote voluntary tax compliance.

The agreement was reached during a meeting on February 3, 2026, between TBL Board Chairman Leonard Mususa and TRA Commissioner General Yusuph Juma Mwenda, held at TRA offices in Dar es Salaam.

Commissioner General Mwenda assured TBL of TRA’s continued support, as is provided to other taxpayers, emphasizing the authority’s role in enabling business growth, resolving taxpayer challenges, and expanding the country’s tax base.

He also called on TBL to engage TRA when entering agreements with farmers who produce crops used in beer production, ensuring transparency and compliance throughout the supply chain.

Chairman Mususa said TBL remains committed to working closely with TRA, highlighting the company’s position as one of Tanzania’s largest taxpayers and a key contributor to the economy.
