Tanzanians must protect our country and resources

By The Respondents Reporter

The Minister of Home Affairs, Patrobas Katambi, has called on all Tanzanians to take personal responsibility in protecting the nation and its valuable resources, ensuring that Tanzania remains safe, peaceful, and poised for development.

Speaking in Tanga Region during the ongoing tour of the Prime Minister, Hon. Dr. Mwigulu Lameck Nchemba, Minister Katambi emphasized that peace and security are the foundation for all social and economic activities.

“I want to remind every Tanzanian that protecting our country is not just the duty of authorities; it is a responsibility we all share. Safeguarding our resources, our communities, and each other depends on all of us. Without security, there is no protection, no peace, and without peace, daily life and development cannot continue,” Minister Katambi said.

He added, “Today, we enjoy peace because our communities are safe. No one has been forced from their home by criminals, and no one lives in fear of unrest. This is the result of our security institutions working diligently with professional expertise and modern technology to protect our nation.”

Minister Katambi’s message is clear: every Tanzanian has a role to play in maintaining the safety, stability, and prosperity of our country. Together, citizens and authorities can ensure Tanzania continues to thrive.
