The Tanzania Mining Commission has released its latest indicative prices for gold and silver, offering an updated benchmark for trade within the country.
For gold, the world market price is $5,010.80 per ounce, equivalent to 416,715.02 TZS per gram, while the local mineral market price is 375,043.52 TZS per gram and the buying centre price is 366,709.22 TZS per gram, slightly below international rates due to local trading conditions.
Silver prices show a world market rate of $77.09 per ounce or 6,411.06 TZS per gram, with the mineral market price at 5,769.95 TZS per gram and the buying centre price at 5,641.73 TZS per gram, also lower than global benchmarks.
