The Commissioner of Tanzania National Parks Authority (TANAPA), CPA Musa Nassoro Kuji, received the “Best Development Partner Supporting Tourism Development” award on behalf of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) during The Serengeti Awards held on January 31, 2026, at Mount Meru Hotel in Arusha.
The award was presented by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism, Dr. Hassan Abasi, in recognition of KOICA’s support for the Serengeti Media Centre, a state-of-the-art facility built within Serengeti National Park.
The centre provides visitors with high-quality images and multimedia presentations showcasing the park’s tourism and ecological attractions, enhancing the visitor experience while supporting conservation efforts through technology.
Commissioner Kuji also took part in presenting the award for the “Best Conservation Influencer” category, which went to Nakaaya Sumari.
The Serengeti Awards celebrate excellence and innovation in tourism and conservation, highlighting stakeholders who contribute to the growth and sustainability of the sector.
Through initiatives like the Serengeti Media Centre, Tanzania continues to strengthen its position as a top safari and wildlife destination in Africa and globally.
