President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, has sworn in Mr. Nsubili Joshua as the new Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Finance, responsible for Administration (Treasury Services), in a move aimed at strengthening efficiency in public financial management.
The ceremony was held at State House in Dar es Salaam and was attended by senior officials from the Ministry of Finance, led by the Minister for Finance, Ambassador Khamis Mussa Omar (Mb).
Also present were the Acting Permanent Secretary, Mr. Elijah Mwandumbya, Director of Administration and Human Resources Mr. Lusius Mwenda, and other senior ministry officials.
Mr. Joshua takes over from Ms. Jenifa Omolo, who was recently appointed Permanent Secretary in the newly established Ministry of Youth by President Samia.
The appointment reflects President Samia’s continued efforts to reinforce leadership within key economic institutions, with the aim of enhancing accountability, coordination and the delivery of effective treasury and administrative services in the public sector.
