The President’s Office – Regional Administration and Local Government (PO-RALG) has held talks with NMB Bank to improve the disbursement process for the 10 percent group loans targeting women, youth, and people with disabilities.

Minister Prof. Riziki Shemdoe met with the bank’s delegation on February 3, 2026 at his Dodoma office on February 3, 2026, emphasising the need for timely access to loans by eligible groups.

“Our focus is to ensure that all qualifying groups benefit from these loans efficiently and without unnecessary delays,” Prof. Shemdoe said.

He also thanked NMB Bank for supporting government efforts to strengthen primary healthcare and education infrastructure while facilitating the 10 percent loan programme.

Addressing concerns about collateral requirements, NMB’s Head of Government Business, Vicky Bishubo, clarified that “these loans are affordable and provided without any collateral. Eligible groups should take advantage of this opportunity.”

The NMB delegation also met with Deputy Ministers Reuben Kwagilwa (Education) and Dr Jafal Seif (Health) to strengthen collaboration between the bank and POM RALG in implementing social and economic programmes.

The meeting reflects ongoing government efforts to improve access to finance for vulnerable groups, ensuring loans are accessible, timely, and support broader development objectives.
