Fadhil Majiha has climbed back to the summit of Tanzanian boxing, re-establishing himself as the country’s number one professional boxer and strengthening his standing in Africa and beyond.

According to BoxRec, the globally recognised platform that records and ranks professional boxers, Majiha is currently rated as the top boxer in Tanzania based on overall performance.

He also leads nationally in the bantamweight division, a reflection of his consistency, discipline and recent results in the ring.

At continental level, Majiha is ranked ninth in Africa in his weight category, making him the highest-ranked Tanzanian boxer on the continent.

Among all Tanzanian boxers, he remains the leading figure, ranked 22nd in Africa.

On the global stage, Majiha is placed at number 291 worldwide, the best position held by any Tanzanian boxer, while Mwakinyo is ranked 503rd.

Majiha, who holds a four-star rating on BoxRec, reaffirmed his form on January 31 this year with an impressive first-round knockout victory over India’s Harjot Singh.

The win not only showcased his sharpness and power, but also played a key role in lifting his international ranking.

The latest BoxRec data confirms Majiha’s return to the top of Tanzanian boxing at a time when competition is intensifying both locally and internationally.

His rise signals growing maturity in his career and highlights Tanzania’s increasing visibility in professional boxing.

Looking ahead, Majiha is expected to step into the ring again in April to defend his WBC Africa title. The bout will be a crucial test as he seeks to consolidate his dominance on the continent and push further up the global rankings.

With renewed momentum, international recognition and a major title defence approaching, Fadhil Majiha is once again setting the pace for Tanzanian boxing.
