The District Commissioner of Dodoma, Jabir Shekimweri, has expressed satisfaction with the progress of construction works at Msalato International Airport and the Outer Ring Road project.
DC Shekimweri made the remarks on 18 February 2026 during an inspection visit conducted together with the District Security and Safety Committee.
He noted that the speed and level of implementation demonstrate strong commitment in executing major government infrastructure projects.
“These are strategic and large-scale projects that will significantly contribute to the development of Dodoma and the country as a whole,” said Shekimweri.
He commended the TANROADS for the notable progress achieved, stating that the projects will strengthen transport infrastructure, improve connectivity, and support economic growth in the national capital.
Providing an update on the construction status, Engineer Colman Ramadhani from TANROADS Dodoma Region said overall airport infrastructure works have reached 83 percent completion, while building works stand at 67 percent.
He added that TANROADS will continue to closely supervise the projects, with teams working day and night to ensure completion within the planned timeframe.
The District Security and Safety Committee emphasized that it will continue to closely monitor the projects to ensure they are implemented according to approved standards and deliver the intended outcomes.
