The Attorney General of the United Republic of Tanzania, Hamza S. Johari, has led Government Advocates in providing free legal services through a Legal Aid Clinic launched on 16 February 2026 at Mnazi Mmoja Grounds.
The initiative aims to bring legal services closer to the public by offering free legal advice, guidance, and support on various legal matters affecting the community.
During the clinic, the Attorney General personally engaged with members of the public, listening to their concerns and ensuring they receive appropriate legal assistance.
Among those assisted was Ms. Sarah Mohamed, who sought legal advice regarding challenges related to inheritance.
After carefully listening to her case, the Attorney General assured her that the matter would be handled promptly and professionally.
“Your complaint has been received, and my team and I will work on it without delay to help resolve the challenge you are facing,” said the Attorney General.
The Attorney General was accompanied by the Deputy Minister for Constitution and Legal Affairs, Zainab A. Katimba, demonstrating the Government’s commitment to strengthening access to justice.
A team of Government Advocates from the Office of the Attorney General is stationed at Mnazi Mmoja Grounds from 16 to 22 February 2026, providing free legal services to residents of Dar es Salaam.
Members of the public are encouraged to utilize this opportunity to seek legal guidance and solutions to their legal matters at no cost.
