Tanzania will overcome its challenges and continue advancing, Prime Minister Dr. Mwigulu Nchemba has assured, reiterating the government’s commitment to national unity and progress.
Speaking on behalf of President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan at the funeral of Tanzania’s first Governor, Edwin Mtei, Dr. Nchemba said the government will never be an obstacle to the country’s development and cohesion.
“The government will not stand in the way of ensuring that our nation remains united and moves forward. I assure you that we will overcome difficulties and advance, and Tanzania’s dignity will always be upheld,” he said.
Dr. Nchemba explained that President Samia would have wished to attend the funeral personally.
However, her busy schedule required him to represent her, carrying the government’s condolences and messages from various stakeholders, including religious and community leaders.
He emphasized that there is strong political will to strengthen national unity, a responsibility he has been entrusted with, assuring Tanzanians that the government is fully committed to leading the country toward a prosperous future.
