Simba set to clash with Mtibwa Sugar in Premier League showdown

The NBC Tanzania Mainland Premier League returns tomorrow with a thrilling encounter at Meja Isamuhyo Stadium in Dar es Salaam, where Simba SC will face Mtibwa Sugar.

Ahead of the match, both teams shared insights on their preparations. Simba head coach Steve Barker emphasized the importance of securing all three points, saying the squad has regrouped and focused fully on tomorrow’s game despite recent national team duties.

“Every match is like a final for us. Our target is clear: three points,” said Simba midfielder Hussein Semfuko. He acknowledged that Mtibwa Sugar is a strong side but expressed confidence in Simba’s ability to dominate.


Mtibwa Sugar head coach Yusuf Chipo, meanwhile, voiced faith in his players’ determination to deliver a positive result. 

“Facing top teams like Azam, Simba, and Yanga pushes our players to raise their game. We are ready to fight for a good outcome,” he said.
