The Government is strengthening collaboration with the private sector and development partners to improve water services in line with the National Development Vision 2050.
Acting Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Water, Mr. Henry Chisute, when inaugurate capacity building workshop today said Tanzania has made notable progress in water and sanitation services but faces issue such as population growth, urbanization, and climate change.
He emphasized that government efforts alone are not enough and called for a more private sector involvement through innovation, investment, and sustainable service delivery.
He added that the goal is to build a strong system where public and private stakeholders work together.
The workshop brought together government institutions, the private sector, and development partners including the World Bank, AfDB, UNICEF, GIZ, AFD, and KfW.
