Prime Minister Dr. Mwigulu Nchemba on January 17, 2026, led a strategic working session at the Prime Minister’s Office in Mlimwa, Dodoma, focusing on key issues affecting workers across government ministries and regional administrations.
The meeting convened senior government officials, including Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office for Policy, Parliament, Coordination, and Persons with Disabilities, William Lukuvi; Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office for Labour, Employment, and Relations, Deus Sangu; Deputy Minister in the President’s Office for Public Service Management and Good Governance, Regina Quarry; as well as several Permanent Secretaries, Deputy Permanent Secretaries, senior ministry executives, and Regional Commissioners.
During the session, participants reviewed existing policies, examined challenges facing workers, and discussed measures to enhance employment relations, improve service delivery, and promote effective coordination between central and regional government offices.
Dr. Nchemba underscored the critical role of teamwork and effective leadership in ensuring that public servants are well-supported and that government policies addressing workers’ welfare are implemented efficiently.
He called on all ministries and regional offices to strengthen collaboration and commitment to public service excellence.
The Prime Minister highlighted that addressing workers’ concerns is central to Tanzania’s broader agenda of good governance, productivity, and socio-economic development, emphasizing that well-supported employees are vital to achieving national development goals.
